One April day in 2021, the respected General SecretaryKim Jong Un had a talk with senior officials of the Central Committee ofthe Workers’ Party of Korea.
Referring to the need to supply cow’s or goat’s milk to thechildren of nurseries and kindergartens and pupils from the first year to thethird year of primary schools, he gave the officials precious instructions toformulate the supply of dairy products to the children as a policy and ensure thenecessary quantity of them.
Keenly feeling once again the profound love of theGeneral Secretary for the future of the country, the officials calculated the necessaryamount of dairy products.
But they soon encountered a big problem.
It was possible to provide dairy products between Juneand September when milk is produced in earnest, but it was hard to do so betweenOctober and May the following year when milk output falls. It meant that a hugesum of money was needed.
However, the General Secretary was adamant about hisdecision to provide the children of the country with nutritious dairy productsno matter how much money it took.
At a consultative meeting urgently convened as regardsthe improvement of the people’s standards of living in June that year, he toldofficials that supplying dairy products to children of nurseries andkindergartens was a more important work than anything else.
Thanks to the ennobling love of the great father, thehistoric Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee discussedthe issue of improving and strengthening the Party’s childcare policy as itsmajor agenda item. As a result, supplying children all across the country withsuch nutritious foods as dairy products was set as a Party policy.
