A meeting with sportspersons who won the international games in 2025 was held on January 9.
Present there were Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the DPRK, Kim Myong Gun, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials in the field of sports, sportspersons and others.
Sportspersons, who flew the dignified national flag of the DPRK in the sky of the world at the international games last year, made speeches.
The top ten players and coaches of the DPRK for 2025 were announced at the meeting.
The top ten players are Yu Jong Hyang, a woman footballer of the April 25 Sports Team, Song Kuk Hyang and Ri Song Gum, women weightlifters of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Ri Suk, a student of the weightlifting department of the combat sports faculty of Central Sports School, O Kyong Ryong, a woman wrestler of the Pyongyang Sports Club, Han Chong Song, a wrestler of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Won Myong Gyong, a woman wrestler of the Jangsan Sports Club, Pang Chol Mi, a woman boxer of the Kumgangsan Sports Team, Hong Jin Gyong, a Taekwon-Do player of the South Hwanghae Provincial Taekwon-Do Team, and Han Il Ryong, a marathoner of the Amnokgang Sports Club.
The top ten coaches include Pak Song Jin, a football coach of the April 25 Sports Team, Kim Song Chol, a weightlifting coach of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Jong Song Hui, a teacher of the weightlifting department of the combat sports faculty and an instructor of the scientific research office of Central Sports School, Kye Song Il, a weightlifting coach of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Pak Hyon Chol, head of the Sports Club of the Ministry of External Economic Relations, Yang Chun Song, a wrestling coach of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Pak Chol Jun, a boxing coach of the Kumgangsan Sports Team, Sa Ok Jin, a Taekwon-Do coach of the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team, Choe Hyong Chol, a marathon coach of the Amnokgang Sports Club, and So Un Hak, a weightlifting coach of the April 25 Combat Sports Team.
The top ten players and coaches were awarded the certificates and sportswear emblazoned with the letters reading "One of DPRK's Top Ten Players for 2025" and "One of DPRK's Top Ten Coaches for 2025".
