Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) — A Pyongyang municipal industrial art exhibition on the theme of “New era of regional transformation and industrial art” was opened on Feb. 5 to celebrate February 16, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Presented to the exhibition are more than 280 typical industrial art designs, including those for signboards and ad designs displayed at public catering establishments in the residential area of Hwasong District and general guide maps of the newly-built Pyongyang General Hospital, Kangdong County Hospital, Ryonggang County Hospital and Kusong City Hospital. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally examined the said designs.
Industrial art experts, students and amateurs in the municipality produced more than 1 000 designs, models, products, etc. reflecting the characteristics of the stirring era in which the capital and local areas are changing simultaneously.
The designs for small trucks and rice harvesters and various ad designs are associated with the devoted efforts of creators.
Also on show are designs for trademarks and packing of products made at modern regional foodstuff and daily necessities factories, designs for various kinds of flowerpot stands and designs for decorations in studying environments.
And there are designs for Korean dresses and seasonal costumes and for various kinds of school things, trademarks, packing, signboards, font designs and various models.
The designs for interior decorations of dwelling houses and fences of rural houses, which ensured the formative and artistic beauty with new ideas and unique creative techniques, have been well depicted to provide the regional people with more civilized living environments.
Officials and working people in the municipality looked round the exhibition venue.
