Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) — A week of film show opened in the DPRK to celebrate February 16, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Documentary films dealing with Chairman Kim Jong Il’s immortal revolutionary exploits for the Party and the revolution, the times and history and the history of revolutionary leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is making a ceaseless journey of devotion to the people, and feature films of different themes will be shown at cinemas and cultural houses across the country.
An opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on Feb. 10.
Present there were Ju Chang Il, department director of the C.C., Workers’ Party of Korea, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People’s Committee, officials, creators and artistes in the film sector and working people in Pyongyang.
Ri Song Un, director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry, made an opening address.
After the ceremony, the participants watched “Developing Our Party into an Invincible Revolutionary Party”, part 6 of the Korean documentary film “General Kim Jong Il, Peerless Patriot”.
The week of film show opened in each province on the same day.
