One day in November 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited regional-industry factories under construction in Songchon County.
Giving instructions on the operation and management of regional-industry factories and on their long-term development, he inquired about the next year's construction project.
After hearing a reply from accompanying officials, he called for setting other regions for next year's industrial factories construction. He said that his intention was to boost the economy of the far-flung mountainous counties where the people's living is in the worst conditions.
The officials reproached themselves as they didn't live up to the loving care of Kim Jong Un to make happy laughter of people be heard first in the areas suffering hardship.
Inspecting the construction sites of regional-industry factories in Hamju County a few months earlier, he had corrected the wrong idea of some officials wanting to build regional-industry factories in a neighboring county the year after. At that time, he said that it is the requirement of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea to build regional-industry factories first in the cities and counties with the weakest economic foundations.
