It was one day in September 2012 when the respected GeneralSecretary Kim Jong Un visited aplace to determine the location of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museumto be newly built.
He took out a formation plan for the museum he hadbrought with him.
It was one of those chosen at the prize contest andpresented to him.
He said to officials that he could see that thedesigners had racked their brains to make it distinctive, and praised them for makingit well.
Then he indicated ways to correct some shortcomings andstressed the issues not to be missed in designing.
The issues included those of making effective use ofthe interior area in technical designing, finishing all the outer walls withstone blocks, planting the middle of the then stone-covered plaza with turf andremoving the trees planted around it and building a bridge between thenewly-built museum and the hall of a large panorama depicting the operation toliberate Taejon to form a huge yard.
His instructions explicated all the orientation and waysfor building the museum as the best comprehensive educational base, and a grandopen-air museum, in a short span of time.
Thanks to the great painstaking efforts of the GeneralSecretary who gave guidance over the formation plan on the spot, inspected theconstruction site dozens of times and gave instructions on well over a hundred occasions,the museum was successfully completed as a monumental structure of the times.
