New History of Socialist Rural Construction

Thanks to the energetic guidance of the great Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), brilliant entities have mushroomed in various parts of the countryside during the eighth term of the Party Central Committee to harden the faith of all the people in the rosier future.

The days of excitement when we pioneered a grand new history of rural transformation, powerfully displaying the advantages and invincibility of our-style socialism despite unprecedented difficulties and obstacles remind our people of a meaningful phrase.

To make the capital envious of the regions and so towns the countryside!

This reflects the fervent sincerity of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un to provide all the agricultural workers with happy and highly-civilized life to be envied by the world, regarding them as the dearest.

At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, the respected Comrade General Secretary called for opening up a new great era of effecting drastic development of our-style socialist countryside and set forth a gigantic and important task of waging a dynamic struggle of sprucing up farm villages across the country.

Sprucing up farm villages across the country was truly a gigantic and challenging task which no one dares unfold.

However, the respected Comrade General Secretary affirmed that to spruce up all the rural villages of the country to be clear in its Korean-style socialist nature and regional characteristics is a strategically important plan prioritized by the Party in order to provide the rural villagers with good living environment and achieve the overall development of the country.

Thanks to his loving care, a new appearance of prospering socialist countryside is opened up one after another.

The Samgwang Livestock Farm is winning a reputation as an ideal village of civilization and rejuvenation that all other rural communities will surely greet before long.

The eye-opening transformation of Samgwang-ri which was transformed into a standard entity that enables us to visualize the future of modern countryside and modern stockbreeding is deeply touching all the people.

It was the respected Comrade General Secretary who worked out a plan to impeccably build a standard livestock farm and rapidly develop the country’s livestock farming with it as a model.

Our people still recollect with deep emotion the words the respected Comrade General Secretary said at the inauguration ceremony of the Samgwang Livestock Farm.

He said:

This scenery of Samgwang-ri that has undergone transformation without giving much publicity is not something that has suddenly been created in a few years.

As is the case with the birth of everything new, painstaking efforts were made for this project, which was not all plain sailing.

The respected Comrade General Secretary regarded the construction of the livestock farm as the most important project to be carried out without fail for the sake of our children and the people and solved all the problems arising in the construction and the operation.

The painstaking efforts he took to build the stockbreeding farm were solely for creating a new starting point and innovative criterion, conducive to defining a future development orientation of our countryside and our livestock farming.

It was the noble intention he implanted in our people through the construction of the Samgwang Livestock Farm that our rural villages should be built to be impeccable without a parallel even in the distant future and to be advantageous in all aspects.

True to his intention, indoor raising methods was introduced, an intelligent integrated production system established, milking, conveying and processing lines fully automated and feed processing and production and most of the other lines are done as they are at an industrial factory.

Flawless are such public facilities as school, kindergarten, hospital, pharmacy, shop, hall of culture and neighbourhood-serving amenities.

In addition, lots of projects such as a protected cultivation floor and a milk production ground were newly built on the highest level.

That’s not all.

Its surrounding mountains were thickly covered with fruit trees and trees of good breeds, the shores of the reservoir and river turned into places, into distinctive parks, for recreational activities and even power-generating facilities relying on renewable energy set up on the mountain slope of the seat of Samgwang-ri.

That’s why on the day of its inauguration, the respected Comrade General Secretary expressed great satisfaction, saying that it is just a real transformation, visualizing the happiness our people will enjoy.

Indeed, the gigantic transformation of today is the one that can be worked out and realized only by the respected Comrade General Secretary who is possessed of the noble will to provide agricultural workers with the most excellent living conditions as soon as possible by turning our countryside into a socialist ideal village good to work and live in.

The blessed agricultural workers who became the masters of the new cultural rural village extend their thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary who put forward them as enjoyers of rural civilization in the new era and harden their determination to repay the love and benevolence of the great mother Party with increased grain production.

Thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary who loves working people the most, all the rural communities across the country will be transformed into a paradise and our agricultural workers will add glory to their worthwhile life, devoting all their wisdom, sweat and efforts to the Party and country.
