Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- Officers and men of the Korean People's Army met at the April 25 House of Culture Wednesday to extend the highest glory and congratulations to KPA Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un on his holding of the title of the DPRK Marshal, and vow to uphold his leadership with loyalty.
Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, Hyon Yong Chol, chief of the KPA General Staff, Kim Jong Gak, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Hyon Chol Hae, first vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, and other leading officials of the ministry and KPA officers and men.

Choe Ryong Hae read out a decision of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the National Defence Commission and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on awarding the title of the DPRK Marshal to Kim Jong Un.

The participants broke into thunderous cheers in excitement.

Then the floor was taken by speakers.

Hyon Yong Chol, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, offered the highest glory and the warmest congratulations to the respected supreme commander in reflection of the warm respect and ardent loyalty of all the servicepersons.

He said that the title awarded to Kim Jong Un is a manifestation of the boundless respect of the army and people for the great illustrious commander of Songun and an event of great significance that displayed their firm will to trust only the supreme commander and follow him.

Kim Jong Un, who learned about military affairs in his early years under the care of leader Kim Jong Il, has developed the KPA into an elite revolutionary army, regarding it as his lifelong mission to accomplish the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche, thus making special contributions to demonstrating the might of the country as a world-level military power, he said.

Hyon noted that Kim Jong Un is the best, invincible and iron-willed commander who develops the People's Army and fully demonstrates the dignity and might of the country with infinite loyalty to the great Generalissimos and rare commanding art.

He said that it is the supreme mission, duty and noble obligation of the servicepersons to reunify the country and achieve the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, closely united around Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un is perfectly possessed on the highest level of the disposition and personality as a modern strategist and statesman, Kim Jong Gak said.

He has further developed and enriched the Juche-oriented military ideas, strategies and tactics of the great Generalissimos as required by the era, determined to carry to completion the revolutionary cause of Juche started in Mt. Paektu, he noted, adding that a fresh heyday is being opened in the development of the People's Army thanks to the energetic leadership of the supreme commander.

The KPA service personnel through their life experience enshrined the absolute truth that only victory and glory will be in store for the strong revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu which advances under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, he said, and went on:

We will firmly prepare ourselves to be revolutionary comrades-in-arms who would follow him step by step with pure conscience.

We will make ceaseless innovations in the construction of major projects for building a thriving nation and improving the standard of people's living and take the lead in implementing the WPK's intention to provide the people with a happy life under socialism, bearing in mind Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

Pak Jae Gyong said that the army and people of the DPRK are speeding up their advance for a final victory after overcoming the sorrow over the great loss to the nation, adding that it is entirely thanks to the supreme commander who is the best in idea, leadership and virtue.

Saying that it was the ardent wish of all the army and people to award the highest title to the supreme commander, he noted that the army and people are so much excited with joy now as they have realized their wish.

The KPA will demonstrate its might as a strong revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu in the general offensive towards a final victory under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, he stressed.

A resolution was adopted at the meeting.
