Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- The France-Korea Friendship Association issued a statement on Feb. 26 condemning the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet warmongers for staging Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.
Recalling that the ongoing saber-rattling is again escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula, the statement went on:
The U.S. and south Korea claim the above-said war maneuvers are "annual ones for defense" but they are war drills simulating aggression against the DPRK in view of the scope of the forces and military hardware involved.
The joint military exercises have created such tense situation on the Korean Peninsula that a war may break out any moment.
The statement of a spokesman for the National Defence Commission of the DPRK warned that the army and people of the DPRK will foil the moves of the group of traitors to the nation and warmongers at home and abroad for a new war with a sacred war of their own style and they will always keep the bases of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and centers for their military operations against the DPRK within striking range and wipe them out at a single blow, should they provoke it.
The France-Korea Friendship Association bitterly denounces the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises straining the situation on the peninsula.
