Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- The construction and reconstruction of vegetable greenhouses are making brisk headway across the country.
Great successes are reported from the projects in Pyongyang City and each province, city (district), county, institution, industrial establishment and cooperative farm.
The construction of hundreds of greenhouses was completed in a short span of time in Pyongyang.
Modern arch-style and mud-walled vinyl sheet greenhouses were built at the Jangchon Vegetable Co-op Farm in Sadong District.
A dynamic drive is now under way in districts and counties of the city including Rangnang, Ryokpho, Hyongjesan, Sunan districts and Kangdong County to build new vinyl sheet greenhouses and reconstruct the existing ones.
North Phyongan Province set high goals to build dozens of vinyl sheet greenhouses and energetically pressed forward their construction in a short span of time.
Dozens of greenhouses were completed in South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong Provinces.
Anju City successfully completed more than ten vinyl sheet greenhouses which do not require heating in a matter of 40 odd days to be a model to be followed by other cities.
Many vegetable greenhouses suited to peculiarities of localities appeared in different cities and counties including Kim Chaek, Hoeryong, Tanchon cities and Hamju, Pongchon, Sinchon, Popdong and Anbyon Counties in a brief span of time.
