Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun) was celebrated in different countries from April 11 to 13. Meeting, seminar, round-table talks, film shows and book, photo and fine art exhibition took place in Britain, Romania, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Uganda.
Korean films shown included "Always in the Hearts of Humankind".
The chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) said that Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, liberated the country, freeing the Korean people from the yoke of colonial slavery.
He was an outstanding strategist who led the Korean war to victory.
The Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) is convinced that the Korean people will win a final victory in the all-out action against the U.S. imperialists and achieve the cause of national reunification without fail, true to the behests of Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il, single-mindedly united around the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
The deputy director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea said that Kim Il Sung firmly maintained the principles of Juche in idea, independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence, laying a solid foundation for the prosperity of the country.
The DPRK has stood firm against the imperialists' moves to stifle it thanks to the capability for self-defence bolstered up by Kim Il Sung, he added.
The rector of College of Culture of Mongolia said that the world people are admiring the distinguished political caliber, matchless grit and pluck of Kim Jong Un, the creditable successor to the cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, and his personality as an outstanding strategist.
