Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- The second version of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 was successfully put into space, demonstrating Songun Korea's indomitable spirit and massive national capabilities. This historical event threw the planet into great excitement.
The world media aired the news of the DPRK's satellite launch as breaking news with increasing enthusiasm.

Sakirmata TV Broadcasting Service of Nepal, reporting the news, said that the DPRK has successfully launched the satellite defying the opposition and pressure from the U.S. and the West.

This launch is another big problem for the U.S. which is already in trouble over nuclear issue.

The DPRK did away with the mistake that caused the April failure in a short period and launched the satellite into orbit by carrier rocket Unha-3.

It is the outcome of the wise leadership of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The French paper Figaro said in an article titled "DPRK's Successful Satellite Launch" that the DPRK displayed its highly developed satellite launching technology through the successful launch. It went on:

The satellite successfully lifted off despite adverse winter weather condition.

It accurately followed the preset trajectory to enter the target orbit.

World experts wondered at the DPRK's satellite launching capabilities.

The U.S. admitted the DPRK's success of the launch.

This holds great political significance as it was made just days before the 1st anniversary of demise of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il.

A Swedish internet paper in an article "Congratulations to the DPRK" said:

We are happy to hear the news of the DPRK's successful launch of satellite.

This shows that the DPRK's scientific and technological development has reached a high level despite all difficulties.

It is over-reaction for the Western media to talk too much about the DPRK's satellite launch.

Lots of countries launched satellites.

Press Trust of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express and other mass media of India said: This year marks the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung in the DPRK. This country launched the satellite with the approach of the 1st anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il. This launch was prompted by Kim Jong Un's will to realize the desire at the behest of Kim Jong Il. The Wednesday launch beyond expectation was a big surprise to the world.

A Russian news agency said the DPRK satellite sends out "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong Il".

Iran Central TV repeatedly aired the footage of the satellite lift-off.

People's Daily of China, Phoenix Satellite TV Holdings LTD., Hong Kong, China, Nezabisimaya Gazetta of Russia, Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba, Al-Jazeera Satellite Television of Qatar, Voice of Vietnam, NHK and other media of at least 190 countries and regions gave broad publicity to the successful launch, referring to its significance and influence on the international community. They carried articles titled "DPRK Startles World", "DPRK Succeeds in Launching Satellite", "DPRK Successfully Puts Its Satellite into Trajectory", "DPRK's Bold Rocket Launch" and "DPRK Ranked Itself among a Few Full-fledged Satellite Manufacturing and Launching States".
