Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- A solidarity meeting with the Korean people took place in Lille City, France on Oct. 27.
Present there were personages of the France-Korea Friendship Association and the Northern Regional Committee under it and the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea and other people.
Speeches were made there.
Benoit Quennedey, vice-president of the association, said that the National Peace Committee of Korea appealed to Koreans and the world peace-loving people to actively turn out in the just struggle to check a reckless war provocation against the DPRK by the U.S. and south Korean Lee Myung Bak regime and defend peace on the Korean Peninsula, expressing full support for this.

The situation on the peninsula has reached the extremes due to ceaseless military provocations and psychological campaign against the DPRK by the U.S. and the south Korean authorities.
In case the U.S. and south Korean authorities ignite a war, the DPRK will wage decisive battles against aggressors for the dignity of the great Paektusan nation and thus put an end to the tragedy of national division and build a reunified thriving nation.
He bitterly denounced them for their provocative war exercises threatening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
A statement supporting the Korean people in their just cause was adopted at the meeting.
