Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Integrated Circuit Factory started operation just before the 50th DPRK anniversary. It forms an automation industrial area along with the October 5 General Automation Plant and the Moranbong Automation Appliances Factory. It is of help towards consolidating the foundation of the country's machine-building industry.
The factory has chip processing and assembling workshops and auxiliary units. It also has a laboratory, research and measuring rooms.
It is staffed with competent technicians and skilful workers.
Latest facilities handle tiny sheets to manufacture a wide variety of memory chips.
I on injector, plasma corroder and other special facilities are operated by robots.
Ultra pure water and high-purity hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and compressed air are supplied to chip processing and assembling workshops. An air-conditioning system is available to resist temperature and moisture.
All up-to-date facilities are manufactured by the factory's technology.
The factory contributes its worthy share to the development of Korea's automation industry.
