Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Yun Song Sik, permanent member of the Consultative Council of Former South Korean Politicians in the North for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification, was interviewed by KCNA yesterday on the first anniversary of his defection to the DPRK.
To him the past one year was a period after he came over to brightness from darkness, he noted, and went on:
The DPRK which is accumulating national wealth in the spirit of independence, self-sustenance and self-reliance in defence is the brightest land.
South Korea, though seemingly gaudy, is just the dark land in which everything is swallowed by others and foreign things rule the roost.
He stressed he felt down in his heart that the building of a powerful nation in the DPRK is not just a slogan but is already being carried into practice under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
