Anniversary of Kim Il Sung 's Development of KPRA into Regular Revolutionary Armed Forces Marked

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- There took place a meeting of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces on Feb. 7 to mark the 69th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's development of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) into the regular revolutionary armed forces.
The meeting was attended by Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, KPA Vice Marshal Ri Myong Su, chief of the KPA General Staff, Army General Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, and other KPA commanding officers and service personnel.
Hwang made a report.
He said that the development of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army into the regular revolutionary armed forces was a brilliant victory of the idea and line of building the regular armed forces set forth by the President on the basis of the immortal Juche idea and Songun idea.
He noted that leader Kim Jong Il set forth it as the general task of building the army to model the whole army on Kimilsungism, and strengthened the People's Army into the perfect army of the leader and the Party.
Respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un has firmly defended the feats of the peerlessly great men in building the army and added luster to them through his energetic leadership with the firm will to make the People's Army the eternal army of the President and Kim Jong Il, the reporter said.
He called for vigorously bolstering up the military muscle under the unfurled banner of modeling the whole army on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Un and thus building a powerful socialist country, reunified and prosperous, on the land as desired by the President and Kim Jong Il.
He also said that the KPA would keep highly alert under the prevailing situation and that if the enemies dare violate the sovereignty and dignity of the country even a bit, the KPA will wipe out the strongholds of aggression through merciless preemptive strikes of Korean style and accomplish the historic cause of national reunification without fail. -0-
