Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- Frightened by a series of the great successful ICBM test-launches by the DPRK, of late the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries are going more reckless than ever before in their moves to "tighten the alliance" against the DPRK.
After "repeatedly confirming the scenarios for putting maximum pressure on the north", the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries are resorting to the sanctions strategy to isolate and stifle the DPRK while staging even the joint military game aimed at making a "preemptive strike" at the DPRK.
In this regard, Minju Joson says in a commentary on Friday that this is an intolerable challenge to the DPRK as it is a revelation of the unchanged ambition of aggression of the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries who have imposed untold sufferings and misfortune on the Korean nation for several decades since they worked to do harm to the nation in conspiracy with each other early in the 20th century.
This betrays once again the vicious nature of aggression of those who are hell-bent on making the Korean nation fall victim to their self-interests and the rivalry for spheres of influence, quite indifferent to the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and Korea's reunification.
It is little short of a pipedream for them to expect the harshest sanctions and pressure and military provocations to stifle the DPRK.
If the U.S. and Japan persist in making a mockery of the destiny of the Korean nation in conspiracy with each other, failing to do away with the criminal habits more than 110 years ago, the army and people of the DPRK will reduce to ashes all the fortresses of the provocations with the nuclear deterrent for self-defence they have bolstered up for several decades and put an end to the crime-woven history of the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries characterized by aggression and plunder. -0-
