A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry told KCNA on October 14 as regards Australia's involvement in the US hostile acts against the DPRK:
Nowadays, Australia actively follows the US adding fuel to the touch-and-go situation on the Korean peninsula which has been created by the latter’s frenzied political and military provocations against the DPRK.
Its foreign minister expressed her support for the US statement about the examination of all options including the use of force against the DPRK, and she and its defence minister denigrated the DPRK at Panmunjom on October 11 on their visit to south Korea.
On the other hand, Australian troops, together with the US forces stationing in Darwin, Australia, have reportedly been conducting DPRK-targeted landing drills since April.
Against this backdrop, it has been reported that the Australian forces are preparing for a war on the Korean peninsula: its attack submarine has been deployed in the operational waters for a joint drill with US and Japanese submarines and a flotilla of its frigates is to arrive in south Korean waters in a few weeks to practise a naval blockade of the DPRK.
Such irresponsible remarks and conducts of the Australian government officials are a folly of allowing themselves to be exploited by Trump's selfish "America first " at the risk of their national interests.
Moreover, it is a suicidal act of bringing back the Australian misery during the past Korean war to turn its territory into an outpost for the US invasion of the DPRK and send its troops as the "gun fodder" for the war of aggression.
Australia will be unable to avoid a disaster if it keeps toeing the US line of military, economic and diplomatic pressure upon the DPRK despite its repeated warnings.
It should be prudent in speech and conduct with its own principle, instead of blindly following the US’ policy of aggression, and realize that working to develop friendly relations with other countries is the best way to its security.
