Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Ri Yong Ho, foreign minister of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting to Walid Al-Muallem, deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria, on July 25 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The message said that the two countries have overcame trials and difficulties together in the common struggle for the anti-imperialist independence and true international justice and steadily developed the support and cooperation of each other since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Ri Yong Ho in his message said he is pleased over the fact that the friendly Syrian government and people are achieving signal successes in the security of the country and economic reconstruction, expressing the belief that the historic and traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would further develop onto a higher stage.

On the same day, Ri Yong Ho received a similar message from Walid Al-Muallem. -0-
