Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- A music and dance performance of the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble for the participants in the 5th National Conference of War Veterans was given at the April 25 House of Culture.
Present there on invitation were war veterans Yang Hyong Sop, Ri Myong Su, Thae Jong Su, Choe Yong Rim, Ri Yong Mu, O Kuk Ryol, Kim Si Hak and other participants in the conference.
Watching the performance were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Vice-Chairmen of the WPK Central Committee Pak Kwang Ho, Kim Phyong Hae, O Su Yong, An Jong Su, Pak Thae Song, Choe Hwi and Pak Thae Dok, officials of ministries and national institutions, teaching staff and students of revolutionary schools, youths and students.
Among the audience were members of the armed forces organs including Army General Kim Su Gil, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army.
The Patriotic Song was played solemnly.
Put on the stage full of festivity on war victory day were colorful numbers like chorus "Cantata to Marshal Kim Il Sung", "Our Supreme Commander", male trio and chorus "Respects to Victors of Great Years" and mixed duet "Tell, Fireworks of War Victory".
The performers sang high praises of the undying revolutionary feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who created the myth of war victory unprecedented in the world history of wars and won successive victories in the drive for defending socialism.
Wartime songs "To a Decisive Battle", "My Song in the Trench" and "Mungyong Pass" that resounded on heights during the hard-fought war days when passages of advance were opened despite hail of bullets for the valuable fatherland liberated by the President conjured up the deep memory among war veterans. -0-
