Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea hosted a banquet in honor of the participants in the 5th National Conference of War Veterans.
Present there on invitation were war veterans Yang Hyong Sop, Ri Myong Su, Thae Jong Su, Choe Yong Rim, Ri Yong Mu, O Kuk Ryol, Kim Si Hak and other participants.
They were greeted by officials and employees at the Mokran House, People's Palace of Culture, Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant, Pyongyang Noodle House and general-service ship Mujigae, the venues of banquet.
Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, and other senior party and government officials and leading officials of the armed forces organs attended the banquet to congratulate the war veterans.
Speeches were made there.
The speakers noted that the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un hopes that the war veterans would live long in good health and well teach and lead the coming generations to steadfastly carry forward the baton of the revolution, saying he feels assured if they are just alive.
They called upon the war veterans to glorify their life as the good forerunners of revolution and educators who instill more deeply the noble spirit and fighting traits into the rising generations, bearing in mind the intention of the Party. -0-
