Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Conferences of the city and county committees of the Workers' Party of Korea took place in the run-up to the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
They were attended by delegates elected by the party organizations at all levels including enterprises and cooperative farms belonging to the relevant party committees.
The participants of the conferences paid silent tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.
The conferences discussed the work done by the city and county party committees.
They discussed and decided on the tasks for dynamically pushing forward the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and bringing earlier the final victory in the drive for building a thriving nation by consolidating the party organizations and fully displaying their militant might as required by the developing reality when the revolutionary cause of Juche has entered the phase of a leap forward on the basis of the successes and experience gained in the past work.
They reviewed the work of the city and county party auditing commissions.
The elections of the leadership bodies of the city and county party committees and elections of delegates to the provincial party conferences took place there.
