Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- Supreme leader Kim Jong Un was elected first chairman of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK at the 1st Session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK held on Wednesday.
The session solemnly declared at home and abroad that Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, who is leading the country and the people along the road of victory and prosperity, being possessed of rare ideological and theoretical wisdom, distinguished political caliber and noble virtues attracting all people, was elected first chairman of the NDC of the DPRK, reflecting the unanimous will and desire of all service personnel and people of the country.
The historical moment when he was reelected first chairman of the NDC of the DPRK, all the deputies and participants in the session broke into stormy cheers of "hurrah!", extending the highest glory and warmest congratulations to him.
His election as first chairman of the NDC of the DPRK is the great jubilee in the nation's history as it helps glorify the socialist country as eternal Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche and the revolutionary cause of Songun which started in the forest of Mt. Paektu.
It is also an expression of the absolute support and trust of all service personnel and people in him who opened a new chapter for realizing the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leaders with boundless noble moral obligation, made sure that the revolutionary life and undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il shine for all ages, developed in depth Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the only guiding idea of the DPRK and gave play to the mental power of all service personnel and people, thus adding brilliance to the annals of new victory of the Songun revolution. -0-
