The deputies to the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly include teachers, too. Among them is Kil Kum Sun, People's Teacher and headmaster of the Thrice Red Flag Pyongyang Primary School No. 4.
Her father was a worker of 13 before Korean liberation in 1945.
From a child she wanted to be a teacher. As she wished she entered Pyongyang Teachers’ College and took up teaching at the Taedongmun Primary School (the present-day Kim Song Ju Primary School) in Pyongyang after graduation.
She tried very hard to give good lessons to her schoolchildren.
In her thirties she was appointed headmaster of the Pyongyang Primary School No. 4 attended by Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The looks of her school have since been changed beyond recognition for slightly over 18 years.
It can legitimately be said to lead all its counterparts in the country. This is the fruition of her conscience, devotion and strenuous efforts as a genuine educationalist of 30 years’ standing.
She was elected by the people to the 13th SPA. They nominated her again as candidate for the 14th SPA considering she served them and their children faithfully for the past 5 years as befitting their representative.
