The Hyesan Youth Mine set up a lean ore reprocessing process anew. Consequently valuable components have been enabled to be recovered from ore dressing without being carried away.

President Kim Il Sung had long given the HYM instructions to process the residues of dressed ore well.

True to them, the officials, workers and technicians of the HYM had already built a settling pond and succeeded to some extent in preventing the environmental pollution by ore dressing.

They did not rest content with this but buckled down to newly establishing a modern lean ore reprocessing process under the banner of self-reliance.

They first put up a reprocessing shop in a short time and then proceeded to make relevant machines on their own with their technology and knowledge.

They focus on reprocessing the residues of dressed ore which have long been deposited on the settling pond.
