The following happened one July day when Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was inspecting the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory.
Looking round the room dedicated to the history of the factory, he recalled the day when he was there together with Chairman Kim Jong Il.
It was in December Juche 99 (2010) that the Chairman gave field guidance at the factory. After inquiring about the feedback on the products of the new workshop for women’s hosiery, he said that nothing should be spared for the benefit of the people. Then he specified tasks to be tackled in increasing the factory’s production capacity. Later, according to the measures adopted by him, a modern men’s hosiery workshop was set up.
Kim Jong Un praised the workers for building up the production capacity by relying on their own efforts and technology, as wished by the Chairman.
Seeing the stocking samples, he said that the brand Choljjuk was good, a name in allusion to the Chairman’s revolutionary exploits.
Then he pointed out the necessity of affixing markings and numbers of colour for each brand so that female shoppers could choose their favourites promptly, stressing that the factory must direct constant concern to improving the colours of its products.
Feeling grateful to the leader for showing deep trust in them, the management and employees of the factory told him that they would apply themselves to the worthwhile struggle for improving the people’s living standards.
