Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Seven years has passed since Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received the title of DPRK Marshal on July 17, 2012. It is a significant day for the prosperity of socialist Korea.
In the period the country faced the harshest adversity and trials because of the hostile forces' unprecedented anti-DPRK moves.
But, a new heyday was opened in all fields of the revolution and construction and the overall power and strategic position of the DPRK were put on the highest phase thanks to the Supreme Leader's matchless courage and patriotic devotion based on the do-or-die spirit.
Under his guidance, the DPRK people could work world-startling miracles in building a powerful socialist country by giving the fullest play to inexhaustible potentials for development of the country in the spirit of self-reliance and self-development and through a Mallima speed movement.
The people-first principle was thoroughly embodied in activities of the Workers' Party of Korea and the State and all spheres of social life, and such monumental edifices as Masikryong Ski Resort, Mirim Riding Club, Munsu Water Park, Ryomyong Street and Sci-Tech Complex sprang up for the working masses like bamboo shoots after rain.
The Supreme Leader also developed the Korean People's Army into an elite revolutionary army.
Under his commandership, the KPA has reliably defended the gains of revolution, holding high the traditional slogan "Let the People's Army take charge of both national defence and socialist construction!" and creditably discharged its mission in the struggle for the people's happiness.
Today the DPRK people are faithfully upholding Kim Jong Un's guidance with high pride and honor of having him as the top leader. -0-
