Such words as "use of military force" against the DPRK which emerged during the recent NATO summit has created a stir worldwide, arousing concerns, Choe Son Hui, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK said on Thursday.
What frustrates us further is that the discourteous references to the DPRK’s supreme dignity were carelessly uttered, Choe said. She added that such behaviour has sparked a flare-up of Koreans' hatred of the US and Americans.
As reported, she noted, the Korean People's Army immediately responded with rage.
We, Foreign Ministry, either cannot repress displeasure at President Trump’s inappropriate remarks that came at that sensitive time, Choe said.
She hoped that his remarks on the use of force and references to the supreme dignity would have been made as gaffe, but added that if they are intentional things are different.
She observed that if the outburst reminiscent of the bilateral war of tongue of just two years ago is a premediated act it will be a very risky challenge.
Noting that the DPRK will wait and see whether such remarks and references come out again, she warned that once that outburst comes out again to reassure the DPRK it is a deliberate challenge the DPRK will also start responding in kind.
Intentional utterance of confrontation-charged remarks and references at the current critical moment must be assessed as the relapse of the dotage of a dotard, she said.
