Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- Ushering in the New Year, the people in the DPRK are engrossed in the study of the basic idea, the basic spirit, of the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held in December Juche 108 (2019).
Through the study, officials and workers of all the units, including ministries, national institutions and industrial establishments, have prepared their own operations and allotment of assignments and taken practical steps to carry out the tasks set forth at the Plenary Meeting.
The basic idea, the basic spirit of the Meeting is that all the people should never dream that the U.S. and other hostile forces would leave them to live in peace, but make a breakthrough head-on on the strength of self-reliance to tide over the difficulties lying in the way of advance of our socialist construction.
In an interview with KCNA, Kim Chon Su, department director of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, said that the slogan "Let Us Break Through Head-on All the Barriers to Our Advance!" gives great strength and courage to the people.
Jo Ju Yong, manager of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, said:
We've deeply grasped, through the study, the idea that to wait for the situation to turn better is the way to quicken the self-ruin and to bolster up our own strength is to hasten the day of victory of socialism.
We will find and analyze the shortcomings revealed in our unit's work and do our best to contribute to improving the country's electric power industry.
