Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), issued a statement on Jan. 21 in support of the revolutionary line of the Workers' Party of Korea set forth at the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK.
The statement said that the revolutionary line set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is the great programme for all the people in the DPRK to defend to the last the sovereignty and supreme interests of the country by breaking through head-on the severe trials and opening up a road to victory in the cause of Juche under the unfurled banner of achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance.
Kim Jong Un clearly disclosed the real intention of the U.S. and its double-dealing behaviour of talking about dialogue while trying to completely stifle and crush the DPRK and called for launching an offensive for making a breakthrough head-on to smash the sanctions and blockade of the enemies by dint of self-reliance, the statement noted.
Herein lies the firm faith and will and indefatigable offensive spirit of Mt Paektu of Kim Jong Un to proudly hasten the realization of the high ambition and ideal for a powerful socialist country by dint of our strength and our own way in the face of strong winds of trials and difficulties, it stressed, adding that it supports the revolutionary line set forth at the plenary meeting.
The U.S. shouldn't think that it can stifle the DPRK with political, military and economic provocations, it pointed out.
It expressed the will to fulfill the mission and tasks for firmly defending the dignity and sovereignty of the motherland and bringing about its prosperity by turning out in the struggle to expose and denounce the U.S. hostile policy against the DPRK, keeping pace with the people in the motherland who rose up in the offensive for making a breakthrough head-on, united rock-solid around Kim Jong Un.
