Tokyo, February 16 (KNS-KCNA) -- Koreans in Japan gave an art performance at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 15 in celebration of the 78th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Enjoying the performance were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and concurrently director general of the General Affairs Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, vice-chairman and concurrently director of the Organization Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and concurrently chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, Pak Chung U, chairman of the Korean Federation of Workers in Commerce, Han Tong Song, rector of Korean University, advisers and department directors of the Chongryon Central
Standing Committee, the chief of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, leading officials of the central leadership bodies and affiliates, chairpersons of the Chongryon headquarters in Kanto and other Chongryon officials, Koreans in Japan and teachers and students at the university.
The performance was given by artistes of the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe and students of Korean University.
Put on the stage were such numbers as "Song of General?Kim Jong Il", an immortal revolutionary hymn, male solo "Ode to Comrade?Kim Jong Il" and female duet?"We Long for You".
The performers represented the ardent yearning for Kim Jong Il who took warm care of Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan.
The performance reached its climax with male solo "The Country Precisely Means the Marshal" and male solo and chorus "We Will Go to Mt Paektu" portraying the loyalty of Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan.
