Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the Sci-Tech Complex under construction for firsthand guidance on February 26, 2015.
Under his great plan the building of the STC was progressing apace on the Ssuk Island visited by President Kim Il Sung for a consultative meeting.
Kim Jong Un walked along a muddy road and looked round the construction site of the STC so as to check up its building projects in detail.
He said that the STC was of great importance in thoroughly executing the Party policy of training all the people as talented scientists and technologists and demonstrating the criterion of the Juche-based architectural art of the 21st century.
He then proceeded to fully expound the problem of building the STC perfectly and faultlessly from a viewpoint of architectural aesthetics and utility, the problem of giving top priority to the aspiration, demand and interests of the people and absolutizing them, the problem of pushing forward preparations for the management of the STC simultaneously and other detailed problems of its construction.
That day he highly praised the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army for performing great exploits in the construction of the STC and warmly suggested building a rare typical edifice of our times on the island and thereby improving the looks of Pyongyang further and showing the whole world again the determination of Korea to lead it in science. Consequently, the STC was brought into being under the dynamic leadership of Kim Jong Un to demonstrate the rapid march of Juche-oriented Korea toward a scientific and technological powerhouse and a powerhouse of talents.
