Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, Saturday observed the demonstration fire of tactical guided weapon.

The fire was also watched by Ri Pyong Chol, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, and Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong, Hong Yong Song, Kim Jong Sik, Hyon Song Wol and other cadres of the WPK Central Committee, Army General Pak Jong Chon, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, and corps commanders of the KPA.

Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces Kim Jong Un was greeted on the spot by leading officials in the field of national defence science researches, including Jang Chang Ha and Jon Il Ho.

The fire was aimed at reconfirming and showing to the KPA commanding officers the tactical characters and power of a new weapon system to be delivered to KPA units.

After Kim Jong Un gave an order to fire, the Juche shells were fired with roaring sound and dazzling flare to precisely hit a target islet.

The fire clearly proved the characters of different flight trajectories and falling angles, accuracy of guided shells and their power.

Recalling with deep emotion the devotion and efforts made by the Supreme Leader for the development of our-style powerful tactical guided weapon, all the observers including KPA commanding officers kept deep in mind the pride at the tremendous Juche-oriented national defence science and self-supporting defence industry of our state.

The Supreme Leader said the successive birth of the new weapon systems of our style serves as a great event in making development and a difference in the armed forces of our state. It is a brilliant success brought about by the Party's correct line on developing the self-supporting national defense industry and its policy of attaching importance to the national defence science and a clear demonstration of the might of our national defence science and industry, he added.

The Supreme Leader said that the new-type weapon systems which we have recently developed and the tactical and strategic weapon systems in the development stage will make decisive contributions to the realization of the Party's strategic plan to make a radical change in the national defence strategy. He added we must further build up the striking capability which can wipe out any enemy out of our territory if it dare designs to launch a military action against our state and this is just the aim of building up our defence capability set by the Party, the most perfect strategy for national defence and most trustworthy war deterrent.

The Supreme Leader gave important instructions on the tasks for every field of science researches for national defence and on the new direction to be taken by the munitions industry in implementing the Party's line on developing the self-supporting national defense industry. -0-
