Let Us Thoroughly Implement Joint Decisions of the Meeting of the Political Bureau of C.C., WPK
The meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea discussed in depth and decided on the issue of taking stricter state measures for protecting people’s life and safety from the worldwide pandemic. It also set forth detailed goals for economic construction, increasing national defence capability and stabilizing people’s livelihood this year and indicated tasks facing every field and unit including Party and government organs, working people's organizations and armed forces organs and ways to carry them out.
We should constantly intensify the nationwide anti-epidemic work.
All the officials, Party members and other working people should not slacken vigilance although the worldwide pandemic has not yet entered our country but more strictly observe the rules and regulations. They should be prompt in informing relevant organs of any abnormal phenomena, no matter how trivial they may be.
They should also strive harder to stabilize and improve people’s livelihood.
All the sectors and units should pay greater attention to the work and life of working people, plan undertakings of giving actual benefits to them and carry them out one by one to the letter. They should wage an uncompromising struggle against those practices of indifference to people’s livelihood under the pretext of circumstances and environment.
All sectors and units of the national economy should more fully display the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.
They should hold fast to self-reliance and science and technology to turn adversity and misfortune to good account, thereby demonstrating to the full the creative mettle of Juche Korea and its spirit of making a leap forward.
It is imperative to enhance the role of Party organizations to the maximum.
Party organizations at all levels should implant the idea and spirit of this meeting deep in the people’s minds and wage an intensive revolutionary ideological offensive for encouraging them to implement the joint resolution.
The Party organizations should give an active boost to the Cabinet and other economic organs so that they can scrupulously organize economic planning and guidance in pursuance of the intention of the Party Central Committee and push forward the struggle for improving people’s livelihood without an inch of deflection.
