In March 2013 Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited a unit of the Korean People’s Army and dropped in at its kitchen.
He watched materials for various kinds of dishes satisfyingly. He said that a company should provide its soldiers with warm beds and abundant foods so that they could regard it as their dear homes and that when inspecting the units of the KPA he was most delighted when he saw the bedrooms of their soldiers warm and their kitchens fully stocked with materials for foods. He averred that as for those units which supplied their soldiers with warm beds and rich foods, their commanding officers, without exception, ideologically accepted the demand of the Party for making companies the dear homes of their soldiers and perseveringly worked for them to the best of their ability.
After a while he stressed that the Party reposed faith in commanding officers and entrusted them with its precious soldiers and that they should therefore take good care of them.
Indeed, he regards and treasures all the soldiers of the KPA as his own flesh and blood and earnestly requests all its commanding officers to warmly look after them like their eldest brothers and sisters as befitting their genuine comrades-in-arms.
