The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is making an effective use of various energy resources including solar energy and wind force.
In Pyongyang City, the systematic parallel photovoltaic power system were introduced into tens of units including the Taesongsan Spring Water Factory and the Ryuwon Footwear Factory.
Officials of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the National Industrial Art Bureau, the Central Bank and other ministries and national agencies are benefiting from the photovoltaic power system.
The Jungsan County Post Office in South Phyongan Province has established the photovoltaic power system and completed the electric power generation system by methane, providing sufficient electricity needed for its operation.
Local industry factories in Sunchon City has built an electric power generation process by methane, following the experience of the Sunchon City Drink Factory which solved the shortage of electric power by establishing the hard coal gas generating system.
The North Phyongan Provincial Power Distribution Station has set up tens of wind-driven generators and thousands of solar panels and normalized the production of electricity to make the best use of the natural energy.
South Hwanghae Province has installed many wind-driven generators in Unchon and Unryul Counties rich in wind energy resources, increasing electric power generation. Sinchon, Yonan and Paechon Counties have built electric power generating bases using organic matter and are solving electricity needed for production and management by themselves.
