Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The on-going offensive to make a breakthrough head-on is a sacred patriotic struggle to open a broad avenue of advance to achieving the socialist victory our own style and with our own efforts, says Rodong Sinmun in an article Wednesday.
Those who make efforts to increase the proportion of locally available raw and other materials and equipment in production and to produce more things of our own in the true sense of the word are genuine patriots desired by our Party, says the article, and goes on:
The home production of every necessary thing is an important political work associated with the dignity of the country and the nation.
If we do not have our own things but weak power, we have to submit to others, and the sovereignty and right to existence will be divested in the end. The home production is the only way to grow stronger by oneself and this represents genuine patriotism,
It is also an important work to implant national pride and honor and ardent patriotism into the minds of our people.
When the home production of every necessary thing ensures the production going at a high rate in all sectors and units of the national economy, and world-famous products and commodities made by our people contribute to the improvement of the people's living standard, our people will deeply feel the pride and honor of living in the most advantageous socialist system.
The home production is essential for accelerating the building of a powerful socialist country for achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance.
The home production precisely means the consolidation of Juche-oriented force, the internal force, and the speed of advance of socialism.
Dependence on others in economic construction leads to failure in remaining self-reliant and self-supporting.
It is the steadfast will of our Party and people to build the powerful socialist country by dint of self-reliance to be proud of in the world.
