Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- The People's Joint Action of south Korea reportedly called a press conference before the U.S. embassy in Seoul on May 18 in demand of exposing the chief culprits of the Kwangju massacre without fail.
At the press conference, the chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions said that it has been 40 years since the massacre, but the truth behind it has not been probed.
He said that the investigation committee for probing truth behind the May 18 Kwangju massacre should discriminate between the false and the truth, make clear the details of the massacre and thus bring its chief culprits to justice.
Then a press release was read out.
The press release said that the People's Joint Action will fight for probing the truth behind the massacre, punishing the chief culprits, enacting a punitive law against distortion of history, eradicating deep-seated conservative evils, achieving the people's right to existence, etc. by carrying forward the spirit of the May 18 popular resistance and the 2016 candlelight resistance.
