Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The "national technological innovation competition among three-revolution teams-2020" is underway.
Attending the competition are members of three-revolution teams working at ministries, national institutions and units of several sectors of the national economy in each province, city and county.
The objective of the competition is to effect the domestic production of necessary materials and equipment, settle the sci-tech problems for keeping the production on a regular basis at their units, upgrade the advanced sci-tech achievements made by the units and apply them and thus make a positive contribution to the building of an economic giant and the improvement of the standard of the people's living.
The competition which began in March under the guidance of the State Commission of Science and Technology will continue till October. The procedures include the selection of technological innovation tasks, review of and judgment on achievements in detail and decision of rankings.
The decision of the rankings is based on how economically effective the technological innovations are and how conducive they are to the technological development of relevant units.
The members of the three-revolution teams working at the major units of the national economy including metal and chemical industries are taking an active part in the creation of new technologies with creative wisdom.
