Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates an article to the first anniversary of the meaningful meeting between Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, who paid a state visit to the DPRK.
The article says that the meeting in Pyongyang served as an occasion of great significance in further solidifying the friendly relations between the two top leaders and developing the relations between the two countries. It goes on:
The parties and peoples of the two countries have closely supported and cooperated with each other, devoting their blood and lives to the joint struggle for independence against imperialism, peace and socialism for a long time.
Socialism is the great banner that enables the leaders and peoples of the two countries to unite with deep comradely trust and obligations.
Today the two parties and countries are sharing their minds and pooling their efforts on the road of championing and developing socialism while repelling the hostile forces' desperate strong-arm maneuvers.
The historical traditions of friendship between the DPRK and China characterized by their unity, mutual cooperation and support go on vigorously despite the complicated international situation.
Under the deep care of the top leaders of the two parties, the bilateral friendly relations will invariably grow strong in the future, too, and socialist construction in the two countries will always emerge victorious, the article stresses. -0-
