Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- According to the strategic plan and decision of the Workers' Party of Korea, the intercontinental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14 was successfully test-fired, which fully demonstrated to the whole world the dignity and might of the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun in an editorial on Saturday.
It says:
The "July 4 Revolution" was a great event of particular note in the 5 000-year-old national history and a great victory in the course of the development of the DPRK.
To defend the dignity and make a greater leap forward through uninterrupted innovations and progress and successive offensive is the revolutionary spirit and working mettle of our people.
All the party members and working people should make innovations and leaps forward in their work in the same heroic fighting spirit of devotedly carrying out the Party's instructions as was displayed by the national defense scientists who performed remarkable feats in building a powerful socialist country, and thus fully demonstrate the valiant spirit of the country dashing ahead like the wind towards the bright future.
The banner of self-reliance and self-sufficiency should be held higher on all the fronts of socialist construction.
It is necessary for us to firmly believe in our own capabilities, wisdom and technology and fully tap the manpower, inner resources and potentials so as to wage a campaign for increased production dynamically.
All the people should thoroughly embody the creative working spirit of national defense scientists.
Let us do everything in our own way -- this should be the viewpoint of creation and working spirit of all the people living in the country of the Juche idea.
The editorial calls on all the people to live and work like the national defense scientists so as to fully demonstrate the valiant spirit of Juche Korea and wisdom and mettle of the heroic people and accelerate the building of a powerful socialist country. -0-
