Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK carry editorials on Wednesday, the 26th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
As Kim Il Sung was held in high esteem as the leader of the Korean revolution, our Party could develop into the revolutionary party of Juche, our country once eclipsed in the world map turn into a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence, and the Korean people become the independent people who successfully carve out their destiny by themselves, says Rodong Sinmun in its editorial.
Praising Kim Il Sung as the founder and builder of our Party and the DPRK and the great sage of the revolution who provided the guidelines to be held fast to by the Party and the state forever, the editorial goes on:
Kim Il Sung is a peerlessly great man who created noble working traditions and experience with which our Party and state can resolutely overcome any ordeals and trials, and bequeathed the ever-lasting foundation guaranteeing the eternal development of the Party and the state.
After liberating the country through the 20 years-long bloody anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, he successfully accomplished the historic cause of building the Party and the state.
He founded the immortal Juche Idea and, on the basis of it, gave scientific answers to all the problems arising in the building of the Party and the state and in their activities.
The President created glorious traditions while leading our Party and state.
He, looking far ahead into the future of the revolution which continues generation after generation, laid firm foundations guaranteeing the country's prosperity and the rosy future of posterity.
It is his greatest exploits for the development of the Party and the state that he successfully solved the issue of succession to the leadership.
Minju Joson stresses that socialist Korea will always emerge victorious as it advances with firm confidence in victory under the leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, holding President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the sun of Juche forever. -0-
