Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China and its affiliated organizations held events on Wednesday, the 26th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
A ceremony took place to lay a floral basket before the statue of the President at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin. Its participants made a bow in boundless reverence to the statue of the President after placing a floral basket in the name of the General Association of Koreans in China.
First Vice-Chairman Choe Su Bong and other officials of the General Association and officials of its affiliated bodies laid floral baskets before an art work depicting the President and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the DPRK General Consulate in Shenyang City.
The Yanbian Regional Association of the General Association held a remembrance meeting in Yanji City, Jilin Province. It was attended by Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association and chairman of the Yanbian Regional Association, other officials of the regional association, the chiefs of its branches and other Koreans in Yanji City.
The participants recollected with deep emotion the immortal revolutionary career of the President with ardent yearning and deep reverence for him. -0-
