On a March day in 1969, Chairman Kim Jong Il gave an instruction on arming younger generations with the revolutionary spirit of Mt Paektu.
When seeing even a film or singing even a song about the homeland, we should not forget the revolutionary spirit of Paektu which was created during the arduous anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, he said, describing the spirit as the revolutionary spirit of the country.
In order to make new generations bring eternal glory to the country, this spirit should be implanted into their minds before anything else, he noted. Only when we are thoroughly armed with the spirit can we achieve national reunification and prosperity of all generations to come, he added.
