Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun notes in an article on Sunday that the people-first principle is the political idea of our Party and the improvement of the people's standard of living is the supreme principle in its activities.
Our Party is now doing its best to ensure the people's life and safety and exerting all its efforts on stabilizing and improving their standard of living, says the article and goes on:
It is an important requirement for further strengthening and developing our Party into the guiding force enjoying absolute support and trust by the popular masses to make the vitality of the Party's policies manifest in improving the people's standard of living.
The popular masses' absolute support and trust in the Party are guaranteed by its guidance and practice for improving the people's standard of living.
The more the people's standard of living improves through the dynamic campaign for implementing the Party's policies, the stronger the bedrock of the existence of our Party becomes and the more brilliantly the dignity and might of the ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea will shine.
To make the vitality of the Party's policies display in improvement of the people's standard of living is a requirement for steadily advancing the cause of building a powerful socialist nation.
Today our Party is wisely leading the drive for turning our country into a prosperous powerful country after unfolding a blueprint for it.
Our Party has laid foundations and created the wealth of socialism for the people's rich and civilized life by undergoing all sorts of ordeals and difficulties, which aims at giving full play to the absolute advantages of Korean-style socialism and demonstrating its might powerfully.
