Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 6th National Conference of War Veterans laid wreaths before the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on Monday, the 67th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, Choe Pu Il, Thae Hyong Chol and Kim Il Chol, leading officials of the Party and the government, chairpersons of the provincial Party committees, students of the revolutionary schools and youth and students in Pyongyang.

Also present were officials of the armed forces' organs including Kim Jong Gwan and service personnel of the People's Army.

Placed at the cemetery were wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The participants observed a silent tribute in memory of the martyrs of the People's Army who dedicated their youth and life to the sacred war against the gangster-like armed invasion of the imperialists, true to the order of President Kim Il Sung.

After laying flowers before the gravestones of martyrs, the war veterans recalled with deep emotion the worthwhile life of their comrades-in-arms who are enjoying immortality under the care of the Party.

Sharing their inner thoughts with fallen fighters, they renewed their will to keep the flower of revolution in bloom as they did during the war and fulfill their duty as educators adding patriotic enthusiasm to the ranks of successors.

All the participants confirmed their revolutionary determination to add glory to the history and traditions of ever-victorious Juche Korea in the transparent spirit of devotedly defending the country and the revolution shown by the victors of the great years, true to the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. -0-
