The Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea hosted a reception Monday in honor of the participants in the 6th National Conference of War Veterans.
Present at the reception on invitation were the participants in the conference including those war veterans who had worked at important posts of the Party, the state and the armed forces for a long time.
The war veterans were greeted by officials and employees of the People's Palace of Culture, Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant, Pyongyang Noodle House, general-service ship Mujigae and Pyongyang Koryo Hotel at the venues of the reception.
Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK.
Joining them were leading officials of the Party and the government including Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, member of the SAC of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, chairmen of the provincial Party committees and leading officials of the armed forces organs.
At the reception speakers warmly congratulated the war veterans on their participation in the 6th National Conference of War Veterans.
They said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un made a heartfelt speech in the conference and that the journey to Pyongyang from their residential areas in different parts of the country and conference schedule are associated with the noble moral obligation and warm care shown by the Supreme Leader for war veterans as he made sure that best measures were taken for their health and conveniences.
There are a great number of war veterans across the world but it is only those of Juche Korea who have been respected as victors of the great years by the leaders and people all over the country generation after generation, they said.
They asked the war veterans to take good care of their health to live long and help the new generations cherish the spirit of defending the country and the revolution displayed in the 1950s.
They proposed a toast for good health of war veterans and happiness of their families.
