The DPRK has increased the intensity of the fight against the global epidemic on a nationwide scale.
All the sectors and units including emergency anti-epidemic headquarters at all levels focus on maintaining strict discipline and unity of action.
The publicity campaign has been intensified to improve the atmosphere of anti-epidemic work in society.
As the state emergency anti-epidemic system has been raised to the top level, activities are conducted to awaken the public to the fact and encourage them all to take active part in the fight against the pandemic.
A social order is being established more firmly to enforce a strict discipline and encourage all the people to help and control each other and act as one in observing anti-epidemic rules including the wearing of masks, measurement of temperature and sterilization of hands.
Preemptive and immediate anti-epidemic measures are strictly being taken according to the top-level emergency system.
Materials are supplied to completely blockaded Kaesong City as a top priority, and more careful medical examination and observation for its citizens are being carried out with maximum vigilance.
A series of preemptive measures have been taken to thoroughly block and control any possible inroads of the deadly virus in the areas along the borders, the Military Demarcation Line and the coastal areas.
The officials in the field of inspection and quarantine of exports and imports are on red alert, carrying on thorough inspections, quarantine and sterilization.
Timely measures are also taken to ensure that the additional anti-epidemic posts set up at the key points across the country, including provincial capitals, railway stations, public places and intersections, conduct thorough disinfection, medical examination and quarantine of moving personnel, materials and vehicles and to prevent any slight defect that allows the spread of the infectious disease.
