Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Leading papers of the DPRK in their editorials on Saturday, the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Korea, praise the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung for liberating Korea.
Lauding the President as a legendary hero for all ages who set an example in the struggle for national liberation to be specially recorded in world history under the banner of independence and self-reliance and as a peerlessly great man who created the precious revolutionary traditions which should be carried forward forever by our state and people, Rodong Sinmun says in its editorial:
The liberation of Korea was the brilliant fruition of the idea of the President for national independence and self-reliant independence. It is an undying feat of the President for the Korean revolution and the cause of human independence that he set a world-historic example in the national liberation struggle in colonies.
The victory in the anti-Japanese war served as a springboard for building and developing Juche Korea by dint of independence and self-reliance. By firmly adhering to the independent revolutionary line in the state building and activities, the DPRK has demonstrated its might as the one and only politico-ideological power in the world and invincible military power.
It is the general review of the 75 year-long history that no one and nothing can ever check the revolutionary advance of the Korean people filled with the spirit of national independence and national self-sustenance.
Inexhaustible is the vitality of the revolutionary traditions of our Party that has been fully displayed for decades. When we invariably carry forward and develop the glorious revolutionary traditions created on Mt. Paektu, we can tide over any difficulties and attain any great goal.
Minju Joson also praises the President as the savior of national restoration who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation by waging a bloody war against the Japanese imperialists, crossing steep ridges and deep valleys of Mt Paektu, for 20 years since he pioneered the Korean revolution. -0-
