Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, inspected different counties of North Hwanghae Province to learn about their flood damage and reconstruction.
Touring Taechong-ri in Unpha County, he urged officials to carry out the reconstruction on the principle of putting the interests of the people above all, true to the idea and intention of the Party Central Committee and put primary efforts into providing the flood-stricken people with a better living condition.
He stressed the need for all the service personnel and builders involved in the reconstruction project to strictly abide by the anti-epidemic rules, calling for stepping up the reinforcement of embankment and floodgates on Unpha Stream and properly fixing the locations of the new dwelling houses.
He also urged the relevant units to ensure timely supply of materials needed for reconstruction.
Acquainting himself with the rehabilitation project in Sohung and Pongsan Counties, he urged the designing organs to design the structures in a responsible way. He took necessary measures after discussing the issues of rehabilitating the drain pumping stations immediately, improving all the waterways as planned, and putting cultivation of crops on a scientific and technical basis. -0-
